I purchased this iPhone X from ATT brand new, and it is unlocked because I paid for it in full. My year is up. Ive been trying to get service through Mint Mobile. My Phone Says Sim Card Not Supported Plus One MonthI have about 24 hours left on my Straight Talk year (plus one month, because I screwed up somehow last month, getting the same message). My Phone Says Sim Card Not Supported Install The SIMSo I came home and theres a message on my Mint Mobile account stating my number is now ported and to install the SIM card. I did. It doesnt work. I tried putting my old SIM card back in, and now I dont have a working SIM card from Straight Talk. I just put in my SIM from Mint Mobile - the message says Activation Required - I click dismiss It says update completed - your iphone was updated successfully. There are just a few more steps to follow, and then youre done - I click continue It says It may take a few minutes to activate your iphone and then this screen SIM Not Supported The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iphone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iphone be unlocked by your carrier. But I heard 2 notifications going off, but I cant get past this screen, stating the SIM is not supported. Ive restarted it several times, its still not allowing me to pass the SIM not supported screen. Seems to me like the problem your facing is because mint mobile isnt supported by att phones. If I was in your position, I would call the att customer service and see if they can unlock your phone by giving you a pin that you can type into your phone. After you pay off your phone you have to call ATT for the unlock code. It worked with your straight talk before because it uses ATT services, most likely. ![]() They stated because I was with Straight Talk, a Tracfone subsidiary, I had to go through them to get it done. I have tried through Facetime, but its through my phone, which isnt on. My Phone Says Sim Card Not Supported Download A CallingAny ideas how to get this done level 2 2 points 1 year ago Go somewhere with WiFi, download a calling app and then call straight talk and see if they can unlock it. So you bought the phone from a ATT store, correct Wouldnt ATT be the ones that you would need to do any unlocking through Why would any other carrier or a prepaid MVNO like Straight Talk which you decided to switch over to after that, lock a phone that wasnt even purchased through them Ive never heard of such a thing and doesnt make much sense at all. I was able to call all of the companies, attempting to unlock my phone. Apple couldnt do it, ATT couldnt do it, and they transferred me to TracFone, who is between them and Straight Talk. They couldnt do it. I called Mint Mobile, and of course, they couldnt do it. But the guy in tech support was a jerk to me, so it didnt help. They tried. All the salesmen on the floor went to work on it for almost an hour.
